This was my side of the bed after our family Christmas party. He couldn't go to sleep without his new fire engine. haha. I squeezed in next to it.
This is just a funny picture of Ruby next to Dixie's new "Stella" doll.
Carson "helped" us make brownies for our neighbors.
Rub a dub dub 3 Kings in a tub!
On Christmas eve we took family pictures.
After family pictures Carson went sledding with cousin Adam.
This kid can sled for hours!
Santa came!
Here's Dixie hugging her puppy from Mima and Pawpaw (and Gumbeaux :)
We finished Christmas with big smiles. (notice the cute "1st Christmas" pajamas)
Here is the cousin table at our family party.
So cute. Each year we get Christmas crackers to open at our dinner. These crowns come inside of them. Carson and Mason loved wearing them! So cute.
Have you ever seen such an angelic face? Here she is with her new dollhouse toys.
Carson opening his fire truck!
(Sorry the last few pictures are out of order.)
We had another great Christmas. Each year gets better and better as the kids understand it more. Carson was looking forward to Santa coming all month long and talked about it all the time. We spent lots of time dancing to Jingle Bell Rock and eating holiday treats. We wrote letters to Santa. Carson asked him for a "car toy" and Dixie asked him for a "present". Pretty easy lists, eh?
We were excited for our cousins from Idaho to be with us for our family party and for Christmas.
On Christmas eve we all met at my parent's for a family picture since we were all here for the first time in a long time. After that our family stuck around and hung out with Grammy, Granddad, Paul, Kim , Adam, Darren and Catherine. We went sledding, watched shows, played catch phrase and remembered Christ--the real reason for our favorite holiday.
Christmas day was very low key. We stayed home all day. When Carson realized it was Christmas we told him to wait for everyone before going down. You could tell he was trying to wait, but he just couldn't. He slowly made his way down and got there a little before us. :) Santa did come and surprised us with lots of wonderful gifts. We ate breakfast and stayed in our pajamas all day. It was wonderful just relaxing and being with the people we love most.
