8 & 9 Months--Dixie Style

She turned 8 months old the same day as the Handcart Days Parade in Bountiful.  She enjoyed the parade...with her eyes shut. :)
Until we move and she gets her own room, she has to sleep in the pack 'n play.
She's perfected the sad face when she doesn't get what she wants.
We got to go to the park when she turned 8 months, too and she and Carson tried out the see saw!

 LOVE her!
This is Daddy's attempt at doing her hair in a pinch--pulling it back with a clothes pin! haha
I love this pic of her with her Daddy.  This was our celebratory dinner after we closed on our house.  Pretty fancy, I know.
She learned to pull herself up and stand (with a little help of something to hold on).
We already knew she was our princess, but she still had to let us know by wearing her princess crown and necklaces. haha
She helped me at the store the day we moved into our house--it was her first time sitting in the shopping cart.
My cousin helped capture some family photos with her nice camera.  These are some favorites of Dixie Anne.

Love you Girlie!!

Months 8 and 9 were big ones for this little miss.  She turned into a big baby from a little infant.

In month 8 she really started to catch on to eating.  Most of the time I take our food grinder with us and she eats whatever we eat.  Her favorites are pizza, spaghetti, chicken alfredo, mac 'n cheese and chicken nuggets. Looks like she got her love of Italian from me.   She enjoys yogurt most mornings for breakfast and still nurses great to fill in.  All this eating has made her grow and she has certainly added a little padding to her arms and legs.

Month 9 was exciting when she started crawling!!  She took her first "crawls" in our hotel room at the Shakespeare festival and has been getting better and better everyday.  With crawling came pulling up on everything and getting into everything--especially things she's not supposed to. ;)

Growth Stats: Weight 17# 3 oz. -- 22nd%ile

 Small and Sweet

Our next adventure is moving into her own room and getting her to sleep through the night.  Wish us luck!
